[16-01] Islam is the religion of Tawheed in God and it is the religion of all the prophets of Allah, Noah, Barrayham, Moses…

If business owners can use religion to ban gays, then why couldn't someone make up a religion to ban blacks or women?
You cannot discriminate against gays for being gay. You can decide not to hire them because they are annoying.
That's the danger. But this has nothing to do with a Christian being forced to make a blasphemous cake for a satanic wedding or a liberal being forced to make a confederacy cake for a KKK or white nationalist wedding. People should have the right to say no and not have the pants sued off of them.
Is this about baking cakes again, for Holiday's sake? If I enslaved someone to bake a cake for me, I would not expect it to taste very good.
They have. Religious history is littered with such creeds. Unsurprizingly, they peter out when whatever exceptional circumstance which led to their formation disappears.
A religion implies that there is a specific doctrine that defines how the faithful must behave and that more than one person follows the organized faith. In addition, there is a burden of proof that employing or providing services to the banned group is dictated in the religion.
Make up a religion and follow it as long as it has something you dislike banned. And then make a business.
You've described why it's not OK.
Because a religion like that doesn't exist.
Business owners should not be forced to do business with customers they object to anymore than consumers should be forced to do business with shops they don't like .
That right would serve the greater good by encouraging blacks and women to start behaving themselves in public.
Why are Atheists drawn to religion? It's a moth/flame quality since religion destroys Atheism?
Your question show that you really will believe anything you hear.
Religion destroys society, not atheism.
To destroy atheism takes a god, and there is not one of those to destroy it.
IF there was, it would be destroyed wouldn't it?
We're just here to chase the destruction of religion away, so we might then live more peaceful and productive lives.
It is hard to build, when defending that which has already bee built is so necessary.
Without religion, there would be no atheists.
Why do you ask belittling questions like a coward?
I come to laugh at fundies mostly. It's a hoot.
Thanks for this contribution to my fun.
Because the religious are drawn to imposing their religious rules on the rest of society. Christianity is incompatible with Freedom and Liberty.
Only ONE THING can and will destroy/eliminate atheism FOREVER: Proof that a god exists.
So - WHERE IS IT?
Thousands of years have passed - millions of "believers" have desperately tried and FAILED.
So - stop by when you have some integrity and can PROVE YOUR GOD IS REAL.
Or, remain a goddam coward all your life.
Grow up you pathetic child.
Because religions are toxic and we are doing our civic duty by fighting against it.
OUCH! Those intellectual jabs really smart!
Atheist is a word made by Greek theist yes Theist made that word to call unbelievers in their gods that was 5 centuries before any Christian exist and 11 centuries before any Muslim... Unbelief destroy gods...those Greek gods lose their believers their temples go empty their oracles go silence.... look at the myth section all those gods not just the Greeks you also don't belief are there because people stop believing in them seriously unbelief put them in that place. Religions are a jumble of false assertions, with no basis in reality and the very idea of gods is a product of the human imagination.
Go ahead, destroy me with your proof.
I quiver in anticipation
"Proclaiming one’s atheism may appear as unnecessary as proclaiming that one does not believe in unicorns. Although most of us are technically “a-unicornists,” few feel the need to tell people that they are. Why must atheists wear their labels so indiscreetly?
If one day our political candidates were judged by how devoutly they believed in unicorns, or if our laws were based on unicorn-derived values, or if every neighborhood had a church where unicorn worship was exalted and its members regularly proselytized unicorns to the public, would it not then make sense to take a stand on the issue, and do so publicly? Would it be indiscreet to say you don’t believe in unicorns?
I am an atheist because the issue is raised: in America, we are constantly confronted with belief in God, and judged by our proclamations about this God. When belief in God ceases to be an issue, so will non-belief in God. Until then, the need to declare oneself an atheist will remain."
"People sometimes ask atheists how they know God doesn’t exist, all the while oblivious to the premises loaded into their question. If the premises were identified and altered, they would become quite obvious. For example, if asked “how do you know that God doesn’t exist” with God described as a Hindu deity with four arms and blue skin, most Christians would have little trouble distinguishing the issue: “it’s not that I don’t believe God exists, I don’t believe in that God.”
Sometimes God is presented as merely a Prime Mover that started it all. If that is all God means, then I would not be an atheist, for I cannot draw definite conclusions about something so vaguely described. Christians are correct to point out the inability to be a well-reasoned atheist toward a being such as that. This, however, is not the sort of being Christians mean when they talk about God. Instead, they describe their god as three-beings-in-one, who created the universe out of nothing, who sent his son to die for our sins, which son we can now literally eat in the form of bread or crackers, and whose blood we can drink in the form of Welch’s grape juice or Mogen David Concord Grape wine. This god I do not believe exists."
Hahahahaha religion doesn’t doestroy atheism, atheism destroys religion. And what I’m drawn to anyway is the fact so many people believe this rubbish that is to me anyway so obviously not true.
We aren't drawn to religion, but we do react to fundies screaming hatred on street corners.
Why do you lack any sign of education or Christianity?!
Why do you not know what an atheist is‽
ATHEIST - someone who does not believe in a God – any God – not just the Christian one. But that does not mean they do not hold strong moral or religious beliefs! They can follow any religion that does not have a god and there are a lot of those!
Like BUDDHISM – Religious teaching from Buddha and his followers that by destroying greed, hatred and delusion (the cause of all suffering) man can attain perfect enlightenment!
And sadly you could not be more wrong about religion destroying atheism since it is the complete opposite because people like you not only drive people further away from God but are the reason so many DECENT people are becoming ANTI THEISTS!
Pew News reports Christianity is shrinking with a corresponding rise in atheism!
Five times as many Americans in 2014 said they never prayed compared to those asked the same question in the 1980s
"Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven. -Mat 6:1
Treat a man as he appears to be, and you make him worse. But treat a man as if he were what he potentially could be, and you make him what he should be. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Christianity is not about hating others but about worshiping the LOVING GOD!!!!!!!
Atheists are not drawn to religion. If you mean this website, I come here because people post questions directed to atheists.
Religion doesn't destroy atheism - if it did. atheism would have died out millenia ago.
They must revalidate their lies.
Ideas don't affect anything. Our choices make everything.
Ask and you receive.
Is Islam a religion of peace or a religion of hatred and begets nothing but violence and bloodshed?
